Volunteers wanted!
The Men's Floorball World Championship will take place in Bern and Zurich in just a few weeks. Preparations for the event are well underway and we have already been able to fill the majority of volunteer positions available. But we are still looking for active support for the following roles:
German – English Translator
As a member of the World Championship communications team, you will translate match reports and some PR documents from German into English.
Period, Location, Requirements
Period and location of position: 2–7 December 2012, 14:00-22:00. Choice of Zurich or Bern. Requirements: Strong verbal and written command of English. Cambridge Advanced / BEC Higher English Certificate or similar qualification.
Editorial Team member
As part of the Editorial Team, you can follow World Championship matches live, record the events in the form of match reports and therefore provide important contributions to World Championship publicity work.
Period, Location, Requirements
Period and location of position: 2–7 December 2012 12:00-22:00. Choice of Zurich or Bern. Requirements: Flawless writing style and orthography. Knowledge of the content and formal requirements of PR documents. Experience in journalism is an advantage.
New Media team member
Conduct post-match interviews with players in English and document everything with photos and sound recordings. Questions will be prepared in the editorial meetings in the mornings but there will also be plenty of scope for your own creative ideas!

Period and location of position: 2–7 December 2012 13:00-22:00. Choice of Zurich or Bern. Requirements: Approachable personality, enjoy interaction with other people. Knowledge of English (First Certificate / BEC Vantage level as a minimum). Ideally, you will bring your own equipment with you (video or photo camera with ability to make HD films). The raw data will be subsequently processed by another team.
Team Guide
The Team Guide forms a vital link between the World Championship organisation committee and the participating teams, and is very important in ensuring the Men's Floorball World Championship 2012 runs seamlessly. The participating countries are our guests and as a Team Guide, you will ensure that the countries feel welcome here and have all the information they need.

Period and location of position: 2-9 December 2012. Requirements: Enjoy interaction with others, have an approachable personality. Good skills in English and knowledge of Bern or Zurich.
